Water Mains Upgrades in Lintrathen, Kirriemuir

project statys delivery

Project Overview

Scottish Water is renewing the water mains in Lintrathen to ensure customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water. Part of this upgrade involves a section of new pipe being installed on the C24 road, parrallel to the Loch of Lontrachen.

The work will begin on 1st of September 2025 and will last approximately 4 months.

Due to the nature of the works and the location of the water main, the road will be closed with residentual access only. Weekend work will be carried out to ensure steady progress is being made. We have implemented clear signage and diversion routes to help manage traffic flow. Where possible, we will open section of the road at night as progress is made. In the event of emergency, access will be made available.

Community Engagement

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended our recent drop-in event on the 19th August. We received lots of valuable feedback, and we are currently working closely with individuals who raised concerns to ensure that these are addressed appropriately and transparently. If you were unable to attend the drop-in event but would like to speak with a member of the team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

To keep you informed of our progress, we will be issuing a community newsletter every 4-6 weeks. This will include updates on the work completed so far, and details of what to expect as the work progresses.
