Project Overview

Scottish Water is upgrading the water pipes in Kirkintilloch to support community growth and ensure its customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water for years to come.

The work will take place on both Freeland Place and a section of Forth and Clyde Canal Towpath.

Scottish Water Horizons will be carrying out the work in conjunction with Mackenzie Construction.

Latest Update: Thursday, 11 December 2025

Our teams are working towards fully completing the remaining activities and de-mobilising from site by 24 December. To meet this target, there will be weekend working over the next two weeks.

All work will continue to be carried out safely and with measures in place to minimise disruption for local residents and visitors. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we progress towards completion.
