Upgrading Your Water Services: Evanton to Dingwall
Project Overview
We are improving the water services in your community by upgrading the water pipes between Evanton and Dingwall.
Customers living in this area have experienced recurring interruptions to their water supply - 15 in the last three years and 10 in the last year alone. This is essential investment to upgrade the network, ensuring customers can enjoy clear, fresh drinking water while reducing the risk of pipe bursts.
As part of this project, we will be installing approximately 8.2km of new water mains at various locations between Evanton and Dingwall.
The work will be carried out by Pat Munro, appointed by our contractor, Caledonia Water Alliance.

What Happens Next
Work commenced late January 2025 and is expected to take approximately 10 months to complete.
To carry out these essential upgrades, the works will involve both private land and local roads, requiring traffic management measures for safety.
Update June 2025
From 7 July for approx 13 weeks, a section of the A862 between Dingwall and Ardullie will close to traffic to allow the works to proceed safely. This is in agreement with Highland Council as roads authority, and a signposted diversion will be in place via the Tore roundabout.
We fully appreciate this may be inconvenient to some motorists and we will do everything we can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible. This will be dependant on the ground conditions we encounter when the work begins.
Our contractor, Caledonia Water Alliance has appointed Pat Munro to carry out this work on our behalf. They will do everything possible to minimise disruption to your daily life.
